Naomi's Broken Pattern

This is a design by Naomi. She wanted a broken tile pattern to transition from an existing floor to an addition. Instead of doing random broken pieces she put tiles in a towel before breaking them. This left the pieces in their original position. So, it becomes a broken pattern with matching joints, which gives you the impression of an "exploded view schematic". The brown "pebbles" are broken beer bottle glass that has been tumbled

Various jobs around Texas

Mustafa Ismails brazilian cherry engineered wood floor. Notice how we undercut the stone so that the wood slides under the stone. Click on photos to enlarge.

Travertine

This a design made by one of my customers Bian Makawi. She had a 6x6 tile but wanted to make it a little more fancy, so I cut it up into minibricks and installed it to her directions.

Travertine is one of the most popular Stone Tiles available now. This is a half inch thick, Filled Travertine in a Versailles pattern. It is butted together without a joint and then grouted. This was installed in Dripping Springs

This is Rod's Kitchen splash. It is 1x1 glass tile with paper backing

This is my friend Rod Shaheen's house and I did some custom work for him. I appreciate Rod letting me post his home on my blog!
I installed this design that he drew out on a pad for me, in his foyer. This is custom work and costs more, but you can keep costs down by keeping it small and compact like this entryway.

The Amey House

The Amey house had a corroded tub. We removed it and her plumber installed a new one. We removed all the old walls and floors and installed new tile.

This is so Central Austin! My friend John found a lot of odds and ends for sale and decided to put them to use. I installed them and he directed traffic!
